About Namecheap.com Payment Method?
Namecheap.com accepts several payment methods for domain registrations. These include direct payments with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Additionally, payments can be made through PayPal, which allows for the use of most credit cards. Cryptocurrency payments are also accepted. However, to pay with cryptocurrency, funds must first be deposited into the Namecheap account, and these funds can then be used for domain registration or other purchases. There is a minimum deposit amount of $5.00 for deposits made with credit cards or PayPal and $1.00 for those made with cryptocurrency. The maximum deposit amount for all payment methods is $100,000.00. Funds added using cryptocurrency should appear in the account within 1 hour, but in rare cases, it may take up to 24 hours. If a payment has been made using the wrong method, it is possible to switch it by adding an amount equal to the one charged for the recent order to the Namecheap account balance using the desired payment method. Then, the Billing/Sales department can be contacted to issue a refund for the initial order, and the deposited amount will be deducted to cover the cost of the order. If the payment was made with a credit or debit card, the amount should return to the balance within 2-10 business days. If PayPal was used, the refund will be almost instant if the PayPal balance was used, but it may take up to 30 days if a card attached to the PayPal account was used. It is also possible to set up a card as the primary default card to charge first when automatic renewal is enabled.

How do I transfer my domain to Namecheap?
To transfer a domain to Namecheap, follow these steps:
-
Verify that the domain is eligible for transfer. The domain must have been registered or transferred at least 60 days ago. The domain must be unlocked at the current registrar.
-
Prepare the domain for transfer. Remove the Registrar lock you may have set for added security. Obtain the Auth/EPP code from the current Registrar.
-
Submit the transfer through your Namecheap account. Once logged in, select Domains from the top menu and select Transfer. Enter your domain name, then click 'Transfer'. On the next page, verify whether the domain is fully ready for transfer and enter the Auth code in the respective field.
-
Monitor the transfer status on your Namecheap account. The transfer can take up to seven days to complete. You will receive an email confirmation when it is done.
Please note that a domain transfer does not imply automatic DNS change. The nameservers for your domain will remain the same after the transfer and are not automatically changed to Namecheap DNS. If your domain is using the default DNS of your previous registrar, they will delete the domain from their DNS zone shortly after the transfer completion which will result in downtime of your website and/or email. If you need to perform any urgent DNS changes, make sure to do it before the transfer starts. Otherwise, you will be able to do it only upon the transfer completion.
